Fairlight BUG - Save doesn't work

PostWed Dec 23, 2020 3:44 am

I'm using Resolve Beta 17.08 Build 18 on a Mac Pro running Catalina 10.15.7.

When I hit command-S I see no indication that the project saved (no "saving"dialogue box or menu highlight.

Then I go to manually to the File/Save menu. And next I hit command-Q.
However, instantly (and always) and window pops up asking me if I want to save the project before quitting. (It shouldn't do that seeing as absolutely nothing changed in the half second it took me to go from the manual pulldown menu to the quit option.)

To be safe, I tell the dialogue box to save. The dialogue box vanishes. (the program does not quit either). I then go to quit again and the same "do you want to save the project before quitting" dialogue box appears.

I'm assuming it has saved but cause I have no way of knowing, I'm a little nervous to quit the program.

Resolve provides an indicator in the Project window's title bar to the right of the Project name.

A recent change will indicate “Edited”, and the text will change to a yellow font if a save action has not been executed in 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, the font will change to red.

A tooltip also indicates when the last save occurred when mouse hovering over the area.

This is a useful indicator if the save function has executed correctly.
