Ghosting in slow motion IR footage

Hi, I am not sure if this is a camera issue or some other, but it seems this might be a good place to start.

I am filming at 120fps in IR and when I import the video and play it in Resolve, I see the primary subject in motion plus about 4 or five ghosts of the subject trailing behind. The shutter speed is 1/10000 sec and the system is set on 1080 422 All-I, so it seems unlikely that each video image has anything more than a single image...or am I totally wrong??!!!

Are there any settings in Resolve that might fix this? Many thanks, Bruce

Which fps is your timeline? You may have an odd relation between 120 fps and the TL and the Blend mode activated.

The free version used to limit the timeline frame rate to 60fps maximum. I don't know if that's still the case, the v17 comparison page doesn't specify. Of course you can just slow it down using clip properties and avoid frame blending.

Hi,

many thanks. I have tried 30 and 60fps on the timeline, but frame blending might be a possibility. I will check it out.

Merry Christmas to all.
