Hi I'm quite a n00b, so forgive this question if it seems dumb. I'm using DaVinci Resolve 17.0B, build 18 on a Windows 10 PC with an RX 580 GPU.
The sad thing is that Resolve doesn't use the GPU at all...not even a bit... all of the rendering is being done by the CPU.
Is there a way that I can fix this? When I look in the preferences for DaVinci, under Memory and GPU, it says that the GPU Configuration is set to "Auto" with "OpenCL" in a greyed-out box to the right of that, and the GPU selection is set to "Auto" and below that my GPU is listed (greyed-out) with a check-mark to the left of it...
Ok. Thanks for the follow-up. One last question: is there a way to kind of "throttle" the rendering process that uses my CPU in the free version right now? When I render it uses 100% of my CPU making the rest of the computer impossible to use while the rendering is happening. If I could somehow make that a little less than 100%, then the render would take more time, yes, but at least I could do something else while I wait...
