Fusion Effects with Fusion Transitions

I have a custom fusion effect that does a 10% zoom-in from the start to the end of a clip. I am using fusion transform node in conjunction with "Anim Curves" modifier to implement the zoom. Every thing works fine. I can stretch the clip and the zoom extents stretch correspondingly.

When I apply the zoom effect to two consecutive clips with a transition (using Fusion Cross Dissolve) in between, the zoom effect does not extend in the cross over transition region. i.e., the first clip stops zooming as it is being dissolved into the second clip. I must be implementing my custom Fusion effect wrongly since a lot of the DR built-in effects apply their effects during a transition.

Is there something I am missing in my implementation of the zoom effect?

Any suggestions?

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the forum sub section you are pointing to (17beta) are specific to version 17 beta related Q&A. My post is a general DR Fusion related question.
