Constant crashing

I am getting very frequent crashes (sometimes, first change I make once file is open) doing the simplest of things. I bought a brand new editing laptop for a clean install of Resolve, so I can’t tell if it is programme specific. Where do I start to problem solve?

The laptop spec;
I9-10850K
64 GB Ram
1TB Samsung SSD 970 Evo Plus (O/S and apps only)
2TB Samsung SSD 970 Evo Plus (everything else e.g. files)
NVIDIA RTX 2070

Plenty of people seem to be getting on OK with the Beta, so I am thinking something isn’t happy with the setup?? Sorry for the vague request, I need to know how to narrow down the testing.

I am on the latest beta version for Resolve. I am still waiting (ordered 5 weeks ago!!) for my Studio license key. Just in case bugs etc. Are specific to either version.

Will do Peter, I worked on a new project yesterday without any crashing. Now, I had re-installed Resolve, but also, there was a lot of H.265 in the project that crashes. So, I am looking at that now. Will also add the log files...

Loving the software (ex Premiere / AE user), and can’t wait for the Studio version to arrive so I can do camera tracking too. Just wish there was a way to get that digitally, or even a 30 day trial type idea, that would hopefully tie me over until it arrives. 5 weeks so far, so hoping it should be here in the next week or so.

Added them below, so hope this helps. I have been doing far more complex stuff since and no crashes to report. Definitely now wondering if it didn’t like the h.265
