Other than a brief overview I can't find and info about how to work in Dolby Atmos within Resolve Studio 17 at all.
I appreciate this is a beta release but there is no in depth tutorial or even a getting started guide.
The 3 pages in the pdf dont really help at all.
Does anyone know of anything ?

My thinking is that as you need a License to create a Dolby Atmos mix, BMD may be assuming that those who will be doing it will acquire the knowledge of how to do it from Dolby.

Or, we just have to wait for the full 17 manual to drop. ;)

How far did you get after your previous thread? viewtopic.php?f=21&t=128779

Have you worked with Dolby Atmos prior to Resolve 17 or is object-based audio new territory?

Assuming this is for Home Theatre workflows and the native Atmos Renderer rather than with a Dolby RMU (which Resolve also interfaced with in version 16).

You don't need a licence for home theatre, even for Netflix now:

Hi Reynaud Venter, I have mixed a lot in 5.1 and 7.1 but relatively new to Atmos. Need to get a workflow sorted out basically taking 2 track mixes that are from music vids and produce an Atmos master to sync with the picture for various artists. Any help gratefully received.
Merry Xmas to all

Assuming stems are available and you have a rough idea of which elements will be treated as beds and which as objects? Which genre are you focused on?

As I said I would be using the existing 2T mixes. What I didn't say was that I intend to use either Nugen Halo or Penteo Pro to provide the upmix.
Thanks for getting back to me

You are essentially delivering a 7.1.4 Bed with no objects?

You can deliver a static mix without Resolve's native Renderer.

I have no idea how to do that. I need to deliver a ADM BWAV Master

Note: the Atmos Renderer's largest bed configuration is 7.1.2

Suggest you use Patch IO and Dolby Atmos Send patching to route your source to the Bed Tracks, and include at least one object even if it only contains digital black (and indicate this in your documentation).

I'm still none the wiser, where is the documentation for this ? I do have an ADM BWAV Master file that a colleague made for me from a 2T mix upmixed to 7.1.4 what is the next thing to do ?

Resolve Studio 17 (note: the Studio version is required):
Fairlight > Immersive Audio > Import Master File

An "Import Dolby Atmos Master" window will appear indicating the progress in extracting assets, followed by progress adding assets to the Media Pool.

Depending on the ADM BWAV Master layout, at minimum a single Bed Track and one or more Object Tracks will be exposed in the Timeline with associated Track names.

As I mentioned in your previous thread, use the Track Index and Patch IO to follow the routing and Project configuration as a guide.

It may also be useful using the imported Atmos Master as the basis for a Fairlight Configuration Preset which may be recalled via the New Timeline window for subsequent Atmos delivery.
