Anim Curves - Possible bug!

Using an older DR 17.0B Build 9.

I love the potential capabilities of the new "Anim Curves" modifier (when its working!).

I have a transform node applied to a still 2.5 second clip @ 24 fps (so the clip is 60 frames long). As an example, I want to rotate the clip from 0 to 360 degree from the beginning to the end of the clip. I apply the Anim Curves modifier to the "Angle" parameter of the transform node. And as expected, when you run the clip, the content of the clip rotates from 0 to 360 degree.

When you apply transitions to the clip, the behavior of the Anim Curves modifier gets messed up. I am adding a 1 second (24 frames) cross dissolve transition. This adds 12 frames to the beginning and the end of the clip. Now, my clip is 84 frames long (3.5 seconds @ 24 fps). Inside Fusion timeline, the clip extends from -12 to 71.

The problem I am experiencing is that the animation is not getting applied to the first 12 frames (all the negative frames). The animation starts at frame 0 (zero) and continues till the end of the clip (frame 71) but it also does not complete the full animation (does not modify the clip angle all the way to 360 degrees).

I am guessing that there is some error when scaling the animation limits in the presence of transitions applied to a clip.

Can someone verify this unexpected animation behavior with Anim Curves and Transitions.

Hello

I hope you're safe and well.

Although I can not answer your question definitively I would use an XF as a null node and rotate the angel separately.

Also, it's best to report bugs in the Resolve beta thread, then it will be read and put on the list.

Regards
John

I think I am in the DR 17 Beta forum. Is there another location to report possible bugs?
