50i footage in 50p timeline

PostSat Dec 26, 2020 5:25 am

I've started a multicam project with 1080/50i footage in wrong 1080/50p timeline.
The playing was choppy when the multicam window was activated, unusable even if I tried to have smaller files (quicktime DV) and even the system resources where barely used.
There was no option to change the framerate from 50p to 25p, only to 60p.
Exporting a 50i file and importing again in a new 25p timeline as a 4th camera didn't worked, as the format was wider and the video was out of sync.

I've started a new project in 25p timeline and solved the issue.

You'll lose half the temporal resolution, though.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
