Auto-save race condition on quit?

I've been having a good overall experience with 17b6. Today, just as I was trying to quit my project, the autosave dialog popped up. 208 seconds later, and still stuck on 1% progress, I killed resolve. Here's the desktop log and system information file in case the Resolve devs want to take a look:

I suspect that I took the Quit action in between where Resolve received that instruction, but after deciding it was going to launch auto-save and break all the normal rules of who gets to do what with focus. And then somehow autosave could not take the lock it wanted, but it set the lock preventing all other progress from progressing, creating a deadlock.
