Enabling Neural Engine Deinterlacing in Resolve 17

PostMon Dec 28, 2020 2:38 pm

I was having trouble trying to use the Neural Engine Deinterlacing on a project from 2009. I thought I had followed the manual recommendations but the options in Project settings/Image scaling/Deinterlace quality remained greyed out. Then I saw a youtube video by Phil Strahl "Enabling Neural Engine Deinterlacing in Resolve 17". I tried creating a new timeline in the old project but the Interlacing Quality Options were still greyed out. However, when I started a new project with the same clips and followed the advice in the youtube video I was abled to utilize the neural engine with good results. I'm posting this partly in case anyone else has the same problem and partly in case BM can tweak Resolve so that it is not necessary to have to create the new project.
