Hi,
Sometimes my renders for Vimeo have problems with sound and video. In the middle of a rendered output, the video hangs or is jerky and the audio produces a loud hiss.
The same project can render many times without any problem and then suddenly the issue occurs and keeps occuring after each render at exactly the same spot.
Disabling proxy/optimized media/render cache and even deleting it from disk doesn't solve the problem.
An older copy, with minor changes, still works like a charm. Changing the audio to AAC also fixes the problem. Exporting the timeline and importing it in a new project shows the same problem.
Confusing? Yes!
After a number of tests I've found an easy workaround: muting and unmuting the audio track solves the problem and QT+PCM works fine again after that.
So, it seems not to be the codec, or the rendering engine, but some corruption in the project, specifically in the timeline.
Just to let you know.
Bye,
Rudi
