I get popping in the audio when I patch and record in Fairlight. This issue does not happen in any other software on my computer. I have a very modern, fast processor and Davinci Resolve runs great in other areas. But some audio recorded in Fairlight is totally unusable.
The problem is intermittent. It feels like there is a memory leak or something that hogs the processor and causes the pops. I rebooted several times just now but could not get clean audio. For a workaround, I went to a clean timeline and the recording worked fine. But I could not record in my main timeline without getting the pops.
I have messed around with changing the latency (256, 128, 96, auto, whatever) in Resolve and the audio interface (Focusrite) and this sometimes seems to help. But every time the problem seems "fixed," it eventually comes back again.
I hope you can address this problem. I realize that intermittent problems are the worst kind to solve, but this is a definite, real problem. It's happened to me on all the DR 16 versions and now the 17 beta versions. It happened on my old 4-core computer as well as my new 12-core machine. I hope you can fix this problem and keep making Davinci Resolve great! Thank you,
