2.7K Render Issue

PostTue Dec 29, 2020 2:55 am

Having an issue Rendering in 2.7K

Footage:
- DJI Mavic Air 2 @ 2.7K (2668x15xx)
- GoPro @ 2.7K (2704x1520)

All project settings and timelines are at 29.97 fps

It will only render if I change the export resolution to 1920x1080 HD. Anything higher than that and I get the "Failed to encode the video frame" error

Clips are all either 29.97 FPS or 59.94 FPS. Timeline and Proejct settings are set to 29.97 FPS. I am using the free download version (Studio?) of DaVinci Resolve 15 on Windows 7 OS

I did get it to render in 2.7K but my Windows Media Player crashes when I try to open the file to view so not sure if its a PC limitation or lack of skill/knowledge on my behalf

The setting that worked the 2.7K resolution render was
- Format: QuickTime
- Codec: GoPro Cineform
- Type: RGB 16-bit

Currently using DaVinci Resolve 15 on Windows 7. Studio version? I know it was the free download

All clips are either 29.97 or 59.94 FPS. Project settings and timeline are both set to 29.97 FPS

I did get it to render in 2.7K using GoPro CineForm codec but my Windows Media Player crashes as soon as I try to open the output file so not sure if its a PC limitation or setting/lack of knowledge on my behalf causing the issue

Others might offer guidance but Resolve is not designed to work on W7
