Help. Exporting failing at every turn | Resolve 16 and 17

PostTue Dec 29, 2020 6:00 pm

Ok, so long story short, very recently my exports have started failing. I don't know why, I didn't do anything to "start" it. I have tried using multiple forms of exporting, from mp4 to quicktime, I've tried 264 and HD for my codec and nothing changed with those either. It's weird, the exports don't "fail", they complete in the normal amount of time with seemingly nothing wrong with them, and edit just fine as well, yet when I go to the file it is a very small size, usually under 700mb all the way down to 40bytes (for videos over 20 minutes). I've tried everything. Ive gone to forums, I've reinstalled to the 17 beta which does the same thing, and i'm unsure as of what to do at this point.

I’m guessing u r on windows so a W10 update broke it. Try updating the GPU driver and if that doesn’t work list the exact driver and GPU type and all other system details

Ok so my specs are
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz
Installed RAM 24.0 GB (23.8 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
GPU Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB
There does not seem to be any updates as far as I can tell.

Test these settings, adjusting Resolution, Frame rate and Key Frames accordingly.

Report back.
