Black Magic vs Apple App Store

At this point I found out that I had to use a reseller rather buy directly from Black Magic. Okay, whatever. Finding a BM listed reseller that sold Resolve Studio was impossible. Everyone I called had BM hardware, but no Resolve Studio software for download or mail. So I checked the Apple App store and there it was, Resolve Studio 16 to be purchased. The App Store downloaded and installed it. Got a little email of my purchase - no activation number, no dongle. Now Studio 17 is out. No update available with Apple App Store.
How do I update Studio 16 to 17??? I have no activation code or dongle or update from the Apple App Store!
