Hi, i need some help with performance.
my pc is specd as follows
i7 8700
16gb ram
gtx 1080
hard drive F: (source footage)
hard drive D: (Scratch)
nvm (OS)
I have a clip that is 1080p with some basic correction and sharpening. which you can see here

i have set the option to use optimized media when available (set as DNxHR SQ)
set the option to render cache as smart
set the option of color grade render of this clip as well in color page
this specific section in edit page (with cache blue bar) plays real time and plays at 10 fps in color page.
you can see the hard drive and gpu usage here

neither the GPU nor the hard drive seems to be bottle necking this clip. And surprisingly it plays realtime in edit page. In color page, If i disable all nodes, still it doesnt play realtime, when i bypass it does play realtime.
also, in contrast a clip with noise reduction, grain and some more effects runs real time in both edit and color page after the cache render.
i am confused and not sure why this is happening so. Am i missing something?
also the option of use 'optimized media when available' is only applicable when i generate optimized media from the media section? or does resolve automatically generates optizimed media when it gets time and resource? is there a setting how and when it generates?
i apologise if this has been asked before, i couldnt find after a lot of searching
