Rendering at 1080, with 4K footage in a 1080 timeline
Hi all, I am new at this forum but have been working in DR since 2013. However always in HD. At the moment doing some 4K footage, and have some questions.
1. Do I understand correctly that the timeline res is only the preview resolution. So if working on a 1080 timeline (with 4k footage) and rendering 1080, DR will use the original 4K footage and all the color adjustments etc. will be in 4K, So would it be the same as a 4K timeline rendered to 1080 then?
2. 4K footage in a 1080 timeline (doing some compositing). If I make a compound clip of the 1080 timeline and color correct or stabilize this compound clip, would DR still use the original 4K footage? Or has everything just become 1080 and is it stabilizing 1080 now and not the 4k original footage?
Looking forward to hearing from you all.
