Thumbnails problem on Resolve 17 beta 6

PostSat Jan 02, 2021 11:10 am

hello, after updating to 17, 6 beta, the program began to freeze, constantly update thumbnails, because of this the program slows down, sometimes it reaches a blue screen, any movement along the timeline, there is a constant search for thumbnails, often it cannot update thumbnails, because of this, when exporting, an error appears that the material does not exist, but in fact the material is in place, the thumbnail simply did not load..
sorry for English, used google translator =)

What version did you update from? Is your GPU driver up to date? Blue screens are usually caused by a hardware problem so give us some details of your system.
Resolve Studio 19.1.3 build 7
Dell XPS 8700 i7-4790, 24GB RAM, 2 x Evo SSDs, GTX1060/6GB (572.16 Studio Driver), Win10 Home, Speed Editor, Faderport 1, Calibrated Eizo ColorEdge CS230 + BenQ & Samsung monitors for UI, Canon C100mk2, Zoom H2n.

There's actually a new forum for version 17 that we're supposed to use.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

As I said, a BSOD is normally a hardware problem. First thing I would check is that all the memory and other cards in the computer are seated properly in their sockets. Are your drives ok and not starting to fail? Is there a software conflict?
This is not normal behaviour so something must have changed.
As to the GPU driver version, "latest" is meaningless. You need to list the exact one.

the blue screen was twice due to the fact that davinci began to load thumbnails, and at the same time I pressed the buttons or moved the timeline, it could not stand it and froze hard to the blue screen, I had not seen a blue screen for a long time, it became only after the update programs to beta 6, I checked on ssd and on railway, everywhere there is one problem with thumbnails
