Hi everyone, for some reason when selecting Dolby Vision in the color management setting no Mastering Display is shown and I can't choose one either. Also when Im in the color tab in the Dolby Vision controls no Target Display Output is displayed or can be selected. Is this currently not working in the M1 version of DR17 beta for M1 or is there a way to enable it? Thanks!

Hi. Have you obtained a valid license from Dolby and imported it?

No, but this is working fine in Resolve versions that are not for the M1s. On my Intel iMac all the functions work even without a licence. Ive also checked with other DR users who tell me the same.

As far as I unterstand the Dolby licence only needs to be obtained if you want to officially brand a production as Dolby Vision. To obtain it you basically have to prove to Dolby that your equipment is up to par in terms of HDR and calibrated.

Still DaVinci lets you work with the Dolby Vision tools. As I stated before other than the DR 17 Beta 6 for M1 they work on other machines. Ive contacted Blackmagic support to check when this will be working in the M1 version of DR, but so far no answer.

Unzip this file, then in Resolve, select the Media page, then select the File menu at the top, then the Dolby Vision menu, then the Load Configuration menu, and aim it at the unzipped attached file.

Then restart Resolve and see if you have the expected Dolby related settings.

This file will either fix the issue, or it won't. But it won't make anything worse.

Are you sure about that? Last time I asked Dolby, it cost around $5000 without a discount.

You only need a Dolby Vision license if you wish to access the Dolby Vision metadata Trim controls.

I already know this. By the way, we're waiting for a few years from BMD the trim control mapping to the Mini Panel.

I can also confirm that the configuration file solves the issue on M1 for Dolby Vision without the need to add my Dolby License, just as it works on the regular Mac and Windows versions. +1 to mapping the trim controls to the mini panel. Thanks.
