trying to show component nodes of a Fusion Macro

PostSun Jan 03, 2021 10:23 am

could someone please tell me whether it is possible to show the component nodes of a Fusion Macro in the Nodes panel? if so, how do you do it? specifically i am trying to augment the Slice macro kindly developed by Alexander Kucera at pixelfondue (see https://www.pixelfondue.com/blog/2017/2 ... gic-fusion) and add in features like being able to set the angle of the slice line and its length (as one can in Nuke).
thanks, julian

Open the Slice.setting file in an editor & change line 3 to
Code: Select all
     Slice = GroupOperator {
instead of Slice = MacroOperator

Select the whole contents of the file, then copy/paste it into your Fusion comp. Right click on the resulting Group and select UnGroup - voilá.

If you make changes and want to save it as a new Macro you'll have to redefine all the custom parameters. Or you could just leave it as a group.

Have fun
