How to add Media Bin Column for Optimized Media

I have optimized a media file, but when I do a list view of clips in my Media bin, I cannot find "Optimized Media" as one of the column head choices in the drop down for columns. The Reference Manual for version 16 implies that there should be such a choice in the menu, and the optimized version will replace the original in the media bin. If this has changed in version 17, is there an alternative method for showing the Optimized file, resolution, and codec for the file in the media bin? Is this an indication that the optimized file did not get recorded in the media bin?
