Posted: Mon Jan 04, 2021 10:47 pmWhen version 17 is out of Beta. You wouldn't want to accidentally replace an official release with a beta. Especially considering that v17's database is incompatible with v16's so once you install v17 and let it update your DB, you can't fall back to v16. (Unless you backed up your DB, and are willing to lose any work you did in v17 by literally reinstalling v16 and then using the v16 DB you backed up.)
I think there is a checkbox in preferences that will let you know about betas, but you need to consider the points in the last paragraph very carefully before doing so.

I'm not interested until it is out of Beta. I didn't realize it was still in Beta.
