Cannot Move Floating Images

I hope this is the correct place to ask this.
I've run into a problem where, if I were to add an image over my video, I cannot select it to move it or scale it. The usual white box with scaling circles doesn't appear. The same is happening to my Text+.
This is occurring even though I only have a total of 10 video clips.
I'm not sure if this is a setting problem or if DaVinci is overwhelmed??
I'm on the 17 beta btw!
