how to keep source viewer showing

Hi there,

I would like to permanently show the source / timeline viewer. what happens is: when I enable source timeline viewer in the menu both appear, as soon as i click either in the source or in the timeline section it disappears and shows just one of the two. the shortcut Q does not seem to work to bring it back. best for me would be showing both permanently, or even just showing the source viewer all the time and the timeline viewer on my second monitor. is any of this possible? thanks for any hints!

The Q key will work if you click on the box arrowed in the pic which will then show a single viewer at a time. How big are your screens as I have no problem having both viewers displayed when using two screens.

I work on a 15,6" laptop with 4k display, but also attach a second bigger monitor for just the viewer image. I will try what you suggested!!
