add codec MPEG2 (MainConcept) ?

Hello,

I very much regret that I cannot process my AVI files in Resolve Studio without converting them.

My AVI files are captured via Edius from my Sony HDR FX1 camera. However, I want to edit with Resolve Studio and not Edius.

Can I add MainConcept MPEG2 codec to Resolve Studio?

This paid codec does not seem to me to destroy the video excessively.

the Sony HDR FX1 is a HDV/DV camera > use the original tapes

MPEG2 is very old codec and will not used any more
(edius could have captured HDV natively)

so you should find a programm to tranfer your MEG2 to a modern codec before use in resolve
