Installing-won't open-can't find Metal capable GPUs

I just upgraded from DaVinci Resolve 15 to 17 and keep getting this error message:
DaVinci Resolve could not find Metal capable GPUs.
Please review the GPU drivers and GPU configuration under preferences.
What do I do to solve this?

What type of Mac are you using? What OS are you using? What video display (GPU) hardware are you using?

Thanks Dwaine,
Got it working! Did two sessions and exported. All good BUT now wanting to go back in and export the audio only so I can have my friend master the music both sessions the audio is not working. I don't know why - just silence. I guess I'll search this site and look for posts related to that. If you have an idea please let me know.
