R17 Proxy Colorspace for ACES Workflow

Hello,

I am experimenting with BMDCC 6K footage (BMRAW) and the new Proxy method on R17b6 Linux.

Is there a way of specifying the generated proxies colorspace? Proxy clips are currently rendered in ACES but since the generated clips are DNxHD values outside the 0-1 range get clipped.

I would think we can have and option to convert the proxies to a compressed gamma/colorspace so we don't loose range.

What is the workaround to avoid clipping when using proxies in ACES?

Hmm... I guess this is not possible then.

I guessed as a workaround I would keep the raw clips without IDT and generate the proxies in BM4Film, and then deal with the conversion after, but looks like the option to bypass the IDT is not available with BMRAW clips. I am missing something here?

As a feature request it will be great to have more option for proxy formats... like a compressed flavour of EXR to keep ACES range.
