Nodes won't evaluate properly in Fusion on Davinci Resolve

PostFri Jan 08, 2021 1:09 am

This an issue that happen to me today, after having the issue I uninstalled Davinci Resolve 17 and installed Davinci Resolved 16. But the issue persisted.

Steps to reproduce/Issues:
1. After one of the many crashes I had in the same day, I opened Fusion inside Davinci Resolve.
Observed Issues:
A) I noticed all the “Global In/Out” sliders for the media nodes were set to the first frame, even those that were previously created and saved in my projects (I tried many projects but all of them have this slider set to 1). If I move the slider up, Then I will be able to see the images in the viewers in the rest of the frames of the fusion composition.
B) None of the merge nodes evaluates properly. I am not able to make a simple merge with the Foreground, Background and the alpha. Even the previously saved files are affected and none of saved projects work anymore with merge nodes. This is the result I get: I get a bright foreground looking image above the Background image, and the Alpha input is ignored by the node (I already tweaked each value of the Merge node, but it does not change anything).

I am using this computer set up: Intel Core i&-7700K CPU 4.20GHz; RAM: 16.0GB; 64-bit, Windows 10 Home; Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB.

Is there a way to fix this?
