quick selecting timelines at the top of the viewer

so, at the top of the timeline viewer in the edit, color and deliver page you could select from all your timelines.

with v17 it now only shows the past ~10 timelines you had open, no longer more. Is there a setting for this and is this documented in some changelog?

on a 1440p screen I would prefer to see all my 18 timelines when I want to switch between them quickly. having to go through the media pool to my timelines folder when I want to open a timeline further away than 10 is unneeded trouble. I understand this being an issue on screens with less pixels - but this feels like a change that does harm to some.

I have a project with 30 timelines. They all show in that list.

what beta version are you in, perhaps it was a change during the v17 betas.

For reference I am in 17 beta 6

in the v16 manual on page 514 I found a tiny paragraph about this functionality

I think there is an option to deactivate a timeline, which removes it from the list and speeds up project loading. Have you used that on some timelines?

In the 3 dots menu, you can now choose a Timeline Sort order. If you choose "Recently Used", it only displays the most recent 10. If you choose either of the other choices, it will display all of your timelines.

Thank you!
this is the actual solution. Do we know exactly when this has been added and the default has been changed?

the v17 reference manual can't come soon enough...

found the original feature request for this: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=97681

however as noted there - the option to sort the timeline order exist on the edit and color page but not the delivery page. A selected order however is persistent across pages.

You can set the default sort order in the Preferences>User>UI settings
