What Makes up a DRP File?
Posted: Fri Jan 08, 2021 4:27 pmHell everyone, was wondering if anyone knew the answer to what's inside a .DRP file? I've recently had horrible issues with Da Vinci Resolve Studio opening projects excruciatingly slow. (20-30min) Once I exported a project I noticed that the file was 231MB in size and when I imported this same file into my MacBook and exported a fresh version it shrunk to 41MB. I presume this was part of the issue as it seems to be opening quickly again. It just seemed so bizarre to me that the file shrunk so much.
On another note, someone with Blackmagic had been helping me and its been almost 3 weeks with no response after 3 emails of checking in with them. I also put in a new support request with zero response. Hopefully I've solved this issue after re-installing Resolve and creating a new database but just in case this issue comes back was hoping someone at Blackmagic can finally get back to me. thank you.
