PostFri Jan 08, 2021 5:15 pm

Hi I am a photographer, new to video and resolve, I recently got the bmpcc 6K for product videos. I have been searching over the internet for the project and render setting for resolve to get the best output quality, it would be great if you could direct me to a thread/post of any information on this. any help will be much appreciated, thanks

We need much more information from you for a qualified answer, like hardware you are using (GPU in particular), distribution channel and how you are monitoring.

OTOH, going trough the free training materials by BM might already answer quite a few questions.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

I think maybe you're jumping the gun a bit here. Photography and cinema have some technical and artistic overlap, but there's a lot more to film work yet to learn. Shooting a still isn't the same as shooting motion. And photographers aren't normally trained in sound production, VFX, editing, etc.

I recommend hiring the right crew, or getting the missing education so you can do the work yourself.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Thanks for the reply, I have spent a couple of years learning to film and have completed a couple of courses on editing and color grading on DaVinci, I am a bit doubtful about my render setting just wanted to make sure I was not losing quality.
