project file reverted to previous version?

so recently i had to reinstall windows, but i made sure to save my resolve project file and all of its sources. upon reinstalling resolve, it appears my project has been reverted to a much earlier date. where is the project file i saved millions of times before? was it not updated? i don't understand how my project has been essentially lost when i saved over the same file. any help would be greatly appreciated.

to clarify: i have the project file still, and all of its sources. just for some reason, it has been reverted to an earlier date. was there a separate project file that was saved somewhere else without my knowledge? i'm at a loss here.

All projects are stored in a database, not as separate files on the hard drive. Whenever you close Resolve, it will ask you to save any changes made. If you do, you're good.

The only possible way I can think of to open a project and see an earlier version is if you didn't save those changes.
