Hi, sorry I just read that we have to use our real names, mine is Georg Kromer from Germany.
TLDR: Is there a way to remove / deinstall DaVinci by hand? Which files would I need to delete?
I edited a video in DaVinci Resolve 17 for about 6 hours, then I directly wanted to transfer it into MP4. However this took a while and I wnated to take my laptop into another room, so I unplugged the HDMI cable from my laptop. I thought the HDMI will have no effect on the process, however Resolve crashed at that moment and just closed itself.
When I try to run it again I get this message from windows:
"This app can't be run on this compüuter. Contact the software producer to get a fitting version."
I'm on Windows 10 by the way, but the warning makes no sense since Resolve used to run fine before.
I tried to reinstall it, but the installation wizard tells me:
"The older version of DaVinci Resolve cannot be removed."
I tried to deinstall it, but I get this message from the windows Installer:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."
I have no idea what that means, I installed Resolve locally.
The edited project was saved as a Backup in a file called Project.db.20210109023227, so the reason why I want to reinstall it so desperatly is because I have the hope that I can reopen the project if I just could get Resolve running again...
Any help is very appreciated, thank you
