CacheClip Auto Delete?

PostSat Jan 09, 2021 6:17 pm

I searched but could not find this topic so forgive me if it's a repeat.

I am somewhat unclear exactly what the Folder CacheClip is used for, I am assuming with the word "Cache" it is something similar to the "Cache" in our Internet browsers and it caches the project media for faster editing?

If that is the case, is there a setting where the contents of the "CachClip" folder can be deleted after a certain "Date" or "Size"?

I noticed that it takes up a lot of space on the drive quite quickly. I had to go in a few times and just delete the folder contents to get space back.

I can live with that but would be great if this can be done automatically.

Again, sorry if this was already asked elsewhere or if my question is coming from left field!

Thanks in advance.

Cache is now manually handled from outside of Resolve using a File Browser (Windows Explorer or Finder).

I'm a proponent of having a dedicated internal drive for the Gallery/Cache/Optimized Media/Proxies

Also, you can help make Cache handling easier with an upvote below.
