Help - Slower/Dragging preview speed on timeline window

PostSun Jan 10, 2021 5:08 pm

Hello,

This is something that's bugging me and I need help.
I'm using DaVinci Resolve 16.2
I have clips that were recorded at 50fps and others at 25fps.
When importing, the timeline adjusted automatically to 24fps.

When I preview the clips on the left window (not the timeline one) it plays normal.
But, when I go to the timeline and play the clip, it plays kinda slow - not half speed, I can't even tell a %, but it's just noticable that it's slower, kinda like it's "dragging".

With a previous work, I had a problem where the preview was choppy, I selected "show all frames", or something similar, on the 3 dots near the preview window, and it solved the problem, so it's not that.

This time it's a different type of problem, not choppiness, but as I said, something similar to dragging/slower visualization.

I'd love help because this is driving me crazy.

Best regards to all.

I'm strongly suspecting Operator Error on this one, so I recommend your first course of action should be to complete some Resolve training. The Beginner's Guide and Advanced Editing are an excellent groundwork to get you moving smoothly. ;)

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
