Hi,
I'm unable to launch Da Vinci Resolve after installation.

I've tried v16.2.8 and v17.0b6.

My computer runs windows 8.1 Professionnal

With both if in run setup, it end with error : MinGW Runtime Assertion, file: .. UiResolveOnBoardingIPC.cpp, line 91

Expression: p_Socket && (p_Socket->state() == QLocalSocket::ConnectedState)

Then if I run Resolve, nothing appear.

I've tried somme compability mode with the V16, without success.

What should I do ?

I have installed several times the FREE Davinci Resolve 16.2.8 and 17.0b6 and was not able to lunch the software.
there is no icon on the desktop or in any other place on the pc.
The following parts of the software were installed:
1. DaVinci Control Panel
2. BlackMagic Raw Speed Test
3. Blackmagig RAW player
4. Fairlight Studio Utility

sofware were installed succefuly no oter part of the sofware were installed. I am using window 10.
can someone Help me to install the software properly?

I am tried to install the FREE DaVinci Resolve 16.2.8 and DaVinci Resolve 17.0b6 and in both cases I was not able to lunch the software. There is no icon created on the desktop or on the START menu to lunch the software installed. the only parts of the software install are as the following:
1. DaVinci Control Panels
2. Blackmagig RAW speed Test
3. Blackmagic RAW Player
4. Fairlight Studio Utility

when i click on the DaVinci COntrol Panels Setup i get the messgae " Np DaVinci Control Panels found"
My PC has
1. 16 GB RAM, and
2. graphic card AMD Radeon(TM) R5 240, and
3. CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 cpu @ 3.60 GHz

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Your GPU is 8 years old and likely the issue. Can u use something releases in the last year or two?
