Zoom at playhead position

PostTue Jan 12, 2021 11:25 am

Hy guys,
does anybody know if there is a setting option so that when zooming by pressing + key, the position of the playhead remains unchanged in the timeline. (as when turning the mouse wheel while holding down the Alt key) For me, the playhead jumps in the middle every time and causes me sensless mouseways. That bothers a lot and I can't get used to it.

Studio 17.0B Build 18

Thx Gerhard

Zooming won't move the playhead in the timeline, so...I can only think you have that key mapped to something else.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

this surprises me, the key causes the same behavior as when zooming with the slider or clicking on + or - next to the slider. For example, if I have the playhead far to the left, this causes the playhead to center, at the same time as the zoom level is changed. Is that different with you?

Sorry, I misunderstood.

The section of timeline you're seeing may change, but the playhead is still on the same frame. It hasn't actually moved in the timeline.

There are no user settings for what you're asking.
