Overwriting files (Free version) Resolve 16 dongle

PostTue Jan 12, 2021 12:46 pm

Hello everyone. My question simply is I just purchased the dongle (it's not arrived yet). I've been using the free version for quite some time now. I have numerous files that I do not want to lose if at all possible. When I go to install the studio version with the dongle will it overwrite my existing files? if Yes is there a way around this?

Normally, all your project and media files should stay intact. A backup wouldn't be a bad idea, nevertheless.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Backup the full database, then Export a .drp for each active project. Have those in two locations.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
