Video capture interface incompatibility (HDMI to USB) and Da

PostTue Jan 12, 2021 2:33 pm

Hi, I have version 17.0b6 (free) installed on a Win 10 system. When I connect to a USB port with HDMI-USB interface, DaVinci does not start by blocking in the "Looking for the control surface" phase or if I am already using it and insert the interface that the program closes. I tried to change the interface model and tried to install the previous version of DaVinci (16) without getting any improvement. Thank you

I have the same problem, both with the paid and free versions of Resolve. I haven't tried version 16, but it's been the same experience across three different computers.

Unfortunately there are dozens of no-name devices of this kind. This one works for me when I use it for a camera while teaching or troubleshooting Resolve on the same machine via OBS:

No need for a driver.

My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
