BRAW not able to be imported on Linux

I am running the 17b6 build of DaVinci Resolve and I am unable to import BRAW footage from my Pocket 6K. I have also tried a few sample files from Blackmagic's website. They refuse to import or even appear in the media tab. I have downgraded to the latest stable release of 16 and it works no problem. Looking at the logs I see the following. I have also checked version 17b1 and this problem exists there as well.

Code: Select all

Try installing braw sdk and see if it makes a difference. Looks kind of like Resolve can’t create decoder instance from braw library, which could be due to not finding or properly loading it. Or it could just be a bug.

You can find the sdk installers from BMD Support page under cameras section.

That's a good idea. I tried it and unfortunately didn't fix it.

If none of those opens it looks like maybe install error of Resolve where braw decoder libs got corrupted or are missing. You could try reinstalling v17 and look into install log if it reports any errors related to copying files or something in these lines.

I tried that and everything in the log looked correct. Everything copies over with no issues. This lead me to uninstall Resolve and then delete the /opt/resolve directory. After that I installed the beta again and it fixed the issue. Thanks so much for helping.
