Adjusting the play position by entering values

PostThu Jan 14, 2021 11:04 pm

On the Source Viewer and Program Viewer, it does not seem possible to adjust the playline position by entering numeric values from the keypad, such as +100, or -410. Nothing happens when Enter is pressed.

Sadly, that feature got somewhat broken in 17. (On purpose.)

You now need to either click in the timecode field first, or hit the = key on the keyboard.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Clicking on the timecode in the Source and entering the +, - or = works really well. It seems much more logical than it was before. However doing the same on the RHS viewer seems to either do nothing or moves the clips in the timeline! Can you explain how it should work please?

Clips will move if any are selected. To move the playhead, make sure none are.
