MXF's XML Sidecar Files - any need/benefit for them?

Apart from the MXF clips themselves, is there any point in keeping the Clip XML sidecar files (or even the SD Card based CUEUP.XML, DISCMETA.XML, and MEDIAPRO.XML)?

I've had a look at the Meta Data that they hold, but I'm not sure that is all that useful or is even inspected by Resolve.

Thanks
Nathan

Sidecar files are generally small and are always beneficial when archived with the source.

A good rule of thumb is to always copy the full media card and leave it's contents fully intact. Don't move, rename or delete any of the contents copied from the media card. Archive the entire card.

Now, there are certainly times when you can violate that rule and everything is fine. But, there are also times when you can't. So...

If you always follow that rule, you will never have an issue.
