So I was introduced to DaVinci Resolve at VidCon in 2019. I met Casey Faris who makes videos about this software on YouTube and a Black Magic employee named Travis.
I have been unable to get DaVinci Resolve to work on any of my Linux systems which defeats my purpose of using this software. I got it working just fine on all my Windows and MacOS X systems but never on Linux.
It crashes when I start it up.
My newest computer has 128GB of RAM, Two GTX 1070's, and a Core i9-10850k, and Resolve won't work on it with Linux. I tried it with multiple distros of Linux too, and never got it to work on any of them. My preferred distro is Ubuntu. So if anyone has gotten Resolve working on Ubuntu, I would love for them to help me out.
