Preview issues...

PostSun Jan 17, 2021 1:45 pm

Hello,

I have some troubles while trying to edit a new video...

First I had a laggy preview screen, I was able to move a bit the timeline of the clip, then it freezes within seconds.

Now, I don't have any preview at all, not even the thumbnails, I don't understand. I never had these issues before.

I uninstalled my good old Resolve 15 and upgraded to a 17 beta, but it hasn't changed anything.

I tried to untick this, doesn't change anything...

And above everything when I decide to close Resolve, it crashes. Any ideas ?

Also, for operational questions, please refer to the New Features Guide that is in the installer before posting here."

It was also related to an older version but anyways it looks like I solved the issue.

I believe I tried to edit videos while having something greedy in the background. I though the RAM was enough but looks like no (DDR3L 32Go)

My bad. Good evening

Nevermind... Started editing but had a crash, relaunched and then crashes again and again...

I checked the task manager on my second screen and when I was sliding the preview bar after opening a clip with a double click the GPU use goes crazy on 100%, only discord or messenger are opened, theres nothing greedy.

I got an issue with previews for sure, my nvidia pilots are updated. Any ideas ?

Is your GPU driver up to date? If it is an Nvidia GPU, make sure you are not using version 461.09 as this has been reported as causing problems.
Resolve Studio 19.0b build 20
Dell XPS 8700 i7-4790, 24GB RAM, 2 x Evo 860 SSDs, GTX1060/6GB (551.86 Studio Driver), Win10 Home (22H2), Speed Editor, Faderport mk1, Eizo ColorEdge CS230 + BenQ GW2270 + Samsung SA200, Canon C100mk2, Zoom H2n.

Thanks Charles!

Indeed I checked geforce experience, says the driver is up to date but it's exactly the 461.09 version.

I clicked on the button to check if there's updates, and it's the latest Geforce Game Ready driver for my 1050Ti.

I found out there's a different driver available, which is the Nvidia Studio driver 460.89, I'm downloading that one and I hope I won't have any issues. Thank you !
