new install

hello,

I'm a new user and I am trying to install in ubuntu with xfce desktop. It sort of installed, but gave me errors related to GPU and Media stores.

The GPU menu would not allow me to change anything and then the program would crash away trying to select a media store.

My GPU is a Vega 10 family. and the install keeps thinking I have nvidia.

I saw to run this script to get info. not sure if it is relevant with beta 17 ?
this version of ubuntu uses systemd, not chkconfig .

currently, trying to start from the command line, I get the following.
is "-h" a valid switch ? without anything, it crashes away without much info, to me.

appreciate any help in troubleshooting this install.
