I'm using Resolve Studio 16 to edit virtual choir songs.
Computer is Intel i7-10750 @ 2.6 GHz, 32 GB RAM
NVidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super GPU - 8 GB RAM

It's been working fine for a typical song with 10-12 tracks; plays back smoothly and renders a 4 minute song in under 5 minutes. Now we have more singers - last song I mixed had 32 tracks. I had to hide video for groups of tracks at a time to even get playback to work and rendering the song less than 6 minutes long took about an hour and a half with the fan running like crazy.

A church member has offered to buy me another computer - open to Mac or PC. What should I ask for? No budget was mentioned - want to be respectful of value, but more important is being able to produce the music we need efficiently.

My choice would be for a 3000 series nVidia card and an upcoming 11th Gen Intel CPU.
