Which codec?
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Resolve is not very flexible in this respect. I'd recommend exporting high-quality 'mezzanine' codec, like Cineform or DNxHR (PC) or ProRes (Mac) as your master file. Do the encoding to H.264 then with a tool like Handbrake or export the master directly to YT if small enough.

For H.264, Restrict to sets the maximum.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
