Project stuttering
Posted: Mon Jan 18, 2021 7:22 pmI am using Studio Resolve 15.2 on a PC running Windows 10 w/ 128 GB of Ram, AMD Ryzen Threadripper 24 Core 3.OO GHz processor. Two SSDs, one for the program and one for the storage of assets.
My system had been working fine but when I opened it up this morning, the timeline playback stuttered and continues to do so. Oddly, one of the audio tracks, with my music, has been replaced with a video clip. All of the audio keyframe edits (if that is what they are called) remain.
An older project plays just fine. I also created a new test project which also plays well.
The affected project is 1080 and I have never had issues with playback. In fact, this computer and Davinci have worked with 4K just fine.
The only thing I did prior to this problem occurring was to create a different project, import some 4K footage from a SONY a7iii, and export several clips from these imports.
I've cleared the cache and played around with some of the suggestions offered by various people on YouTube. So far, nothing has worked; generating optimized media, playing in proxy mode shouldn't apply but I tried and nothing corrected the problem.
