Hello,

I've come back to my Windows PC after the Christmas break and am unable to open Resolve.

I have the studio version with a dongle. When I click to load Resolve nothing happens. Then, in Task Manager I see DaVinci Resolve in the Background Processes list, but I don't see the normal loading images.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing (Resolve Studio v16.2.8)

I've unplugged all non keyb/mouse USB devices - though I only have a keyboard/mouse/shuttle jog dial.

Ryzen 7 3700C, 32GB RAM, Windows 10 20H2 (18942.746). Nvidia GTX 1660 Super, Studio driver 469.89.

I've updated GPU to Nvidia Studio 469.89.

One thing that has happened over Christmas is that I did install Minecraft :-/ and the Windows xbox gaming stuff that is needed to run Minecraft!

I can't see much in the Logs (attached) - but I'm not too sure what to look for.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Solved! Eventually I solved this by unmapping a network drive that was being unresponsive.

Edit: a bit more info - I tried all sorts to fix this - in the end I noticed that if I left Resolve long enough (~15 or 20 minutes) then it would eventually load.

It seems like a bug in Resolve tried to look at all drives on the machine but does not time-out very quickly - and because my mapped network drive was unresponsive it blocked Resolve from loading.

Preferences>System>Media Storage, uncheck the option to automatically load all drives.
