Combining files on Sync Bin

Shooting with three cameras I often get the problem where each camera is producing more than one file due to the 4gig limitation.

Is there a neat way to force each camera to just produce a single timeline when building a Sync Bin?

In this screenshot Camera 1 is on a single line. Camera 2 uses lines 2 and 3 - and Camera 3 uses lines 4 and 5. It would be so much neater just to have three lines.

I recommend filming Multicam events using cameras that will always record one clip to one file.

(Blackmagic cameras do this. Panasonic's GH5 as well. Probably others, too.)

Thanks Jim.

But as I don't intend to re-kit my system I would value the advice of others as to how to deal with my question.

You'd have to skip the Sync Bin, use the Multicam feature instead.

Doing that, you can assign Camera #'s to the clips, so they come out on the same track.

Thanks Jim.

In which case I won't bother as I want to do more with the Cut Tab and my new Speed Editor

Now more people will be looking at the Sync Bin as they take advantage of their Speed Editors I wondered if anyone other than Jim had a suggestion.

Even though lockdown is saving me money (no travelling) I am reluctant to buy two new cameras (sorry Jim) and would prefer to pursue the Sync Bin a bit longer.

Some time ago someone introduced me to JoyoShare
https://www.joyoshare.com/video-joiner/

I could revert to using it but it adds a bit of time into job processing.

PS. You are usually right Jim but I gather there a lot more Cut Tab fans around now we have the nifty speeder as a freebie from BMD.
